What is being done to keep us COVID-19 safe?

Please be assured that I take your health and my health very seriously. You can have confidence that I have taken every measure to mitigate the risk of infection and to ensure that both you and I are as safe as possible during your visit for treatment.
Under the direction of the UK government and local authority and within the bounds of my professional association, the APNT I have carried out a detailed COVID-19 RISK ASSESSMENT.
As a result, the following measures have been taken to ensure our safety:

- Consultations and assessments are now being carried out via video link rather than face to face
- Payments are being taken digitally via the website rather than in clinic
- There is a maximum hands on treatment time of 45 minutes per session
- On arrival you will be invited to go directly to the treatment room

- The room will be well ventilated
- I will be wearing a mask, face shield and a clean change of clothing
- I will be washing my hands thoroughly before and after treatment
- You will be asked to complete a Staying COVID-19 Safe screening questionnaire prior to our appointment
- You will be asked to wear a mask until you are within the treatment room
- On arrival and departure you will be asked sanitize your hands
- You will have designated sanitized storage for your clothes
- The room will be well ventilated

Of course, even with all these precautions, we cannot entirely eliminate the risk. There is still the possibility that either you or I will become infected. For this reason the following has been implemented:

- Prior to the appointment I will have asked you to agree to notify me should you or a member of your household become ill with COVID-19 symptoms within 7 days after the appointment.
- I will also have asked for your agreement to share this information with the government’s health protection team.
- Likewise, if I become ill with COVID-19 symptoms within 7 days after our appointment, I will notify you and see if you are experiencing the symptoms.
- Upon either event, I will notify the government’s health protection team.
- We will then be asked to self isolate and report any symptoms to the same health protection team.
